St. John’s College worked overtime on Thursday to earn the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk junior boys rugby championship.
Tied 12-12 with Brantford Collegiate Institute at the end of regulation time in the final on the George Jones Fields at the Harlequins Grounds, the game went to two five-minute overtime halves.
When the Green Eagles were the only team to score, they claimed a 17-12 win that earned them the championship.
