The Assumption College Lions won the high school girls’ soccer championship on Thursday.

The Lions defeated the Brantford Collegiate Mustangs 2-1 to win the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk title. They won in a shootout that followed a game dominated by good goaltending at both ends of the field.
