Green Eagles have the ‘pieces’ to challenge in senior girls volleyball

By Brian Smiley The St. John’s College senior girls volleyball team finally met its match. Hosting McKinnon Park Secondary School on Thursday in Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk action, the Green Eagles (1-1) were defeated 25-15, 11-25, 25-23 and 25-16 by the Blue Devils (2-0). Assumption College begins title defence in boys hockey with win

By Brian Smiley The Assumption College Lions boys hockey team graduated several key players from last year’s AABHN championship squad but it doesn’t seem to have slowed them down much. Facing Brantford Collegiate Institute on Monday in the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk season opener at the Gretzky Centre, the Lions defeated the Mustangs 3-1. Lions earn CWOSSA senior girls basketball championship
