Paris District High School’s Gavin Stafford has his elusive Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk cross-country championship.

Watching the Grade 12 student compete in the senior boys 5.62-kilometre race on Wednesday at Mohawk Park, it would be easy to assume he’s a multiple champion at AABHN. However, some bad luck has meant that this year’s championship was his first during four years at high school.
