Assumption College captured the Athletic Associaton of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk boys team golf championship on Tuesday at Woodside Greens Golf Club in Simcoe.
Ty Tischler (70), Morgan Pelts (75) and Adam Bednarz (77) combined to give ACS a score of 222.
Tischler tied with Simcoe Composite School’s Avery Gallagher for medalist honours.
Brantford Collegiate Institute (Ethan Lange, 75; Finn Foster, 76; Henry St. Amand, 81) was second at 232 with St. John’s College (Jacob Semiwolos, 74; Jaxon Hurley, 80; Joseph Pizzoferrato, 81) in third at 235.
North Park Collegiate’s Blake Hyde (73) finished third overall in the individual standings.
Pauline Johnson Collegiate’s Kailey Cromwell won the girls’ medalist honours with a 76. She was followed by Lyra Hill (94) of ACS and Madi Burr (101) of Paris District High School.
The top-eight females along with the boys’ teams and the top four individuals not on teams advance to the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association championship.
CWOSSA girls golf takes place in Owen Sound on Oct. 2 with CWOSSA boys golf in Port Elgin on Oct. 4.
