Brantford Collegiate Institute’s stranglehold on the AABHN girls rugby championship came to an end on Monday.
Facing Simcoe’s Holy Trinity Catholic High School in a semifinal on the George Jones Fields at the Harlequins Grounds, the Mustangs were upset 24-17 by the Titans.
The win advanced Holy Trinity to Wednesday’s final against Assumption College, while dethroning the 13-time Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk champions.
