GUELPH – From this point forward, the 2023 Assumption College Lions senior football team will be known as the ‘Cardiac Kids’.
Facing Waterloo’s Laurel Heights Secondary School Hurricanes in the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association championship game on a wet, windy and cold Tuesday night at the University of Guelph’s Alumni Stadium, the Cardiac Kids came back from a 12-0 half-time deficit to defeat the Hurricanes 21-19.
