St. John’s College is heading back to the AABHN senior football final after surviving a scare from the defending champions from Paris District High School.
Trailing 22-0 early on in the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk semifinal on Thursday at Bisons Alumni North Park Sports Complex, the Eagles (5-0) wound up winning 32-28 after converting three, third-down touchdown strikes while also scoring 15 points in the game’s final 3:40.
St. John’s will now play Assumption College on Nov. 3 at Bisons Alumni at 7:30 p.m. for the championship. Assumption (4-1) defeated North Park Collegiate (2-3) 45-7 in the other semifinal on Thursday.
