After coming up just short in last season’s AABHN boys baseball final, Simcoe Composite School reversed its fortunes this season.
Facing Paris District High School for the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk championship on Wednesday at Cockshutt Park, the Sabres scored a come-from-behind 11-10 victory versus the Panthers.
Last season SCS went undefeated before losing to Brantford Collegiate Institute in the final.
“It feels great,” said Sabres catcher Mike Walker. “It was a tough loss last year.
“We had a lot of young kids come in and this is my last year. This is a big win for us.”
