North Park Collegiate dropped their Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk senior boys volleyball game on Monday at St. John’s College but there were extenuating circumstances.

Playing the Eagles for the first time since defeating them last year in the AABHN championship, the Trojans suffered a 25-19, 25-17 and 25-20 loss.

“We don’t want to lose but they did what they could,” said NPC coach Holly Ferrell, whose team was extremely short-handed for the game.

“The kids that were here did a great job. We know this week will be a struggle for them but they’re going to push through.”
