Thunderbirds football team sees ‘big improvement’

Pauline Johnson Collegiate football coach John Macdonald knew this season wasn’t going to be like last year’s, at least to start.

“I knew that this year would be somewhat of a rebuilding year for us because we lost about 12 fifth-year guys from last year,” said Macdonald, whose Thunderbirds dropped to 0-2 in Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk non-CWOSSA varsity football action following a 14-0 loss at home on Friday to McKinnon Park Secondary School (2-0).
