The Assumption College Lions senior girls basketball team is young – and hungry.
Following an Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk junior girls basketball championship a year ago, the senior team is now filled with junior graduates looking to win at that level.
“Our expectation is for them to work hard day in and day out,” said ACS coach Steve Petrella, whose senior team opened the season at home on Tuesday with a 57-6 win against Paris District High School.
