Paris District High School wasn’t going to let another girls fastball championship slip through its gloves.

Playing for the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk championship on Tuesday at Green Lane Sports Complex in Paris, the Panthers (6-0) quickly erased a first-inning deficit against Brantford Collegiate Institute on their way to a 12-3 victory versus the Mustangs (6-1).

The win this year comes after the Panthers entered last year’s final with a perfect 6-0 record only to fall to McKinnon Park Secondary School.
