Runner makes splash at high school track championship

Eytan Mirie made a splash – literally – in his Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk open boys 2,000-metre steeplechase debut.

Competing in the first event at the AABHN championship at Kiwanis Field on Thursday, the Grade 11 student from Valley Heights Secondary School won the event in six minutes, 42.63 seconds.
